Can you help me make an airplane?

Can you help me make an airplane?
Can you help me make an airplane?
Can you help me make an airplane?

One minute we're making paper airplanes and the next we’re on our way to Paris! That’s the beauty and fun of emergent curriculum. A simple question, “Can you help me make an airplane?” led to a two week focus on flying. Frank Daniel, Captain for Jet Blue, visited School House and shared his experiences as a pilot. We quickly planned a trip to Paris, passports were made and bags were packed! On the day of our trip the children checked in, went through security, then boarded our plane. They enjoyed a great snack, some fine reading materials and even a little turbulance before landing in ‘Paris’. Safety instructions were given in French and English. We spent a short while in ‘Paris’, but saw all the highlights including the beautiful Eiffel Tower. We indulged in French bread and cheese while we were there. After an uneventful flight back, we returned to School House for the next adventure!
